Made Thought now in real life.

Made Thought — now in real life — present living portfolio and retail experiment that explores ideas and concepts around how we use design as a tool to cultivate desire and humanise brands — going deep in an increasingly shallow world to inspire change.

Over the next 12-weeks, the store will play host to a rich and diverse programme of topical events, cultural talks, brand collaborations, experimental installations and experiential retail concepts, spanning fashion, beauty, technology, culture and commerce. Brand activations include Fred Perry, Ableton, Wildsmith, Naim Audio, True&Co, G. F Smith, Imprimerie du Marais, and many more. A chance for us to demonstrate our craft and our thinking, and collaborate with the brands we work with, creating immersive and conceptual installations. Communicating our creative ethos and the value we create.

As well as our events and installation programme, visitors can shop the ‘Made Thoughts’ by Made Thought limited edition lifestyle collection designed by the agency exclusively for the store. All of the products ranging from sweatshirts, tees, candles to G.F Smith notebooks, are carbon neutral and sustainably made from responsible materials in the UK.

Come and see us… in real life.
Opens: 19 September – 30 November 2019
Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday  11:00 – 19:00, Sunday 12:00 – 18:00

‘Made Thought creates “a website that exists” in the form of a pop-up shop.’

“Design studio Made Thought has imagined the shop of the future, with an experimental pop-up in London that has a lot in common with a digital experience.

The Made Thought store brings together an assortment of elements you typically wouldn’t find in a shop, from editorial articles to immersive installations. It gives the studio a platform to show off its work, but also to start up a wider conversation about how creative thinking can be used to improve the world of retail and products.”

‘Made Thoughts’ by Made Thought

All of the products, ranging from sweatshirts, T-shirts, candles to notebooks, are carbon neutral and sustainably made from responsible materials in the UK.

A platform to present TO THINK, our self-published journal.

A place to discuss what we call DESIGN for GOOD.

We are living in a new age of responsibility, where we all want to be surrounded by beautiful and intelligent brands that prioritise the environment. This gives us as designers — and business owners — huge impetus to create great work that is designed responsibly and with purpose. We see every project and brand as an opportunity for CHANGE. For better design, for better business, without compromising desirability.

In addition to the main retail space, the lower floor is host to immersive installations in collaboration with some of our clients.

Moved by Sound

with Naim Audio
19—25 September

We are at the centre of a CLIMATE CRISIS. We create, we consume, we have an impact. But, as designers, we are OPTIMISTIC that with a RESPONSIBLE APPROACH to design we can inspire change for a better future. DESIGN is central to the issue and is CENTRAL to the solution. The constant cacophony of data though does little to help us listen.

Here we have translated the global land-ocean temperature over the past 100 years into visceral sonic waves. The result hopes to help us ABSORB and understand the scientific data on a more emotional level; to help us feel the past, to picture the future and awaken us into individual ACTION.

See how Farao creates her unique sound in this immersive installation followed by a live performance on 17 October, set within a voyeuristic viewpoint.

After Farao’s performance, this immersive installation will remain open to the public until Thursday 31 October; acting as a space for artists and visitors to meet, collaborate, share ideas and experiment using Ableton.
