Change-seekers and creative action-makers came together to champion responsible innovation and radical collaboration earlier this month at the official launch of plasticfree.com in New York.

Supported by AIGA NY and Dezeen, the event's aim was simple: to catapult us into a new world of infinite possibility, reinvigorate us with energy and optimism, and to inspire creatives the world over to use their visionary skills to rethink everything.

As part of the PlasticFree creative council, our co-founder Ben Parker joined a panel discussion with Dr Amanda Parkes–chief scientific officer at Pangaia, Celine Semaan–founder at The Slow Factory and Jos Harrison–global head of brand experience at Reckitt.

"Its clear we are all at an inflection point," says Ben, who led the development of the PlasticFree platform. "As creatives, it is our responsibility to seize this opportunity and move from being part of the problem, to being on the front line for solutions. Design has always been the trojan horse for change, and the entire creative industry needs to rise up as we are now all in the ‘business of change’."
